Joachim Thys is a versatile saxophonist, flutist, and composer whose work bridges jazz, global folk traditions, African music, and contemporary improvisation. He has performed internationally across Europe, Africa, Asia, and South America, and has contributed to music theatre productions in Kinshasa. He is currently involved in projects such as Farfar, Medes, Swing Kitchen, and Echo’s van de bergen. Alongside his performing career, he is active as a music educator at the MAAK Academy in Knokke-Heist, Belgium.
